NEW YORK, NY, March 31, 2009 -- American Express Business Travel, a global industry leader in business travel management, today announced Hervé Sedky, vice president and general manager, Global Advisory Services and Corporate Meeting Solutions, will take on the added responsibility as head of its Global Business Partnerships (GBP) client management team, effective immediately. In this expanded role, Mr. Sedky will be responsible for directing the creation of industry-leading travel and expense management solutions to deliver added value to GBP clients. Mr. Sedky replaces Joe Terrion, who has taken another position outside of the company. Mr. Sedky will continue to report to Priyan Fernando, chief operating officer and president of the Global Customer Group.

Prior to becoming the head of Global Advisory Services and Corporate Meeting Solutions in 2008, Mr. Sedky was the vice president and general manager of the Multinational and Large Market client management team.

During Mr. Sedky's 19 years with American Express, he has held several other leadership positions including vice-president, multinational account management and centre of expertise; vice president, Corporate Services Canada; and, director of account development.

Outside of American Express, Sedky serves on the Advisory Board of the Children's Health Fund. He received his BS in International Business Administration from Northeastern University and completed the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.
